Q. How did you first get involved with the Clock on 2 Health programme at NHS Bolton?
A. As part of the corporate & social responsibility strategy for Bolton Mail Centre we have been involved in a close working partnership with the NHS Bolton and the Clock on 2 health team. This has involved a number of health initiatives during the year which have been excellently supported by the NHS.
Q. What themes have you worked on so far?
A. These events have focused on individual lifestyle checks, Health & Fitness, Food & Nutrition to
name a few.
Q. Have you seen any benefits from these particular initiatives?
A. The benefits achieved from these and the other initiatives undertaken in the unit have delivered a 2% improvement in our unplanned absence levels. There have also been significant improvements in our internal employee opinion surveys with regards to how employees perceive management care about their health and well being. The working relationship has also assisted the unit to achieve a number of external health awards and accreditations. Examples of those being Clear Air Gold Award and Winner of the Groundwork Business Award. The initiative has no doubt assisted the unit deliver a number of improved results around employee well-being.
